The MBA Isn't the Goal.
The Life You Want Is.
Merchant MBA exists to help you get clear on what you're building—
then choose the program that gets you there.
How It Started
Before I was going to go to business school myself, I took one last adventure to South America, fell in love with Buenos Aires, and never left.
When the money ran out, I started helping people prepare for the GMAT.
My first student changed everything. She was brilliant at her job but felt stuck. When she hit that 700-level score, I realized this wasn't just about test prep.
It was about helping people become the version of themselves they didn't know they could be.
Since then, we've worked with 450+ students. That's still what drives us—but our approach has evolved in ways I never expected.
The Two Walls We Hit
The Shift
Because an MBA is one of the last times you'll have this much freedom to change direction. If you don't get clear on what you want before you go, you'll spend two years getting pushed toward paths that aren't yours.
Now we begin every engagement with clarity and vision. We help you define the life you want, reverse-engineer the career that gets you there, and then choose the MBA program that accelerates that path.
What We Believe
We believe an MBA can be one of the most powerful investments you make—but only if you use it intentionally.
That's why we're so focused on helping you figure out who you truly are, what you've accomplished, what skills you've built, and where you want to go. The MBA should be the missing step that bridges where you are to the life you're building. And if it's not? We'll help you figure out what is.
We care about our students. That's not marketing language—it's how we operate.
Caring means we push you when the work is hard. We keep you accountable. We tell you the truth, even when it's uncomfortable. And we're in your corner for the long haul—through school selection, scholarship negotiation, interview prep, and beyond.

Where We Are Now
I never got my MBA. But I've had the privilege of sending students to earn theirs at Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, INSEAD, Booth, Kellogg, and beyond. But the stat I'm most proud of isn't on the board above. It's the number of people who tell us, years later, that they're exactly where they wanted to be.
That's the work. That's the mission.
